Miroslawa S. Jablonski-Cohen, M.D.
Mirusia moved to New Jersey from England and spent
her youth in the Trenton suburbs. She attended
Villanova University where she graduated cum laude
with a Bachelor of Science as well as an Honors
degree through the liberal arts program. Mirusia
earned her M.D. from UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical
School in Newark, NJ, where she met her husband
Jonathan, who is an Infectious Diseases specialist
at Grand View Hospital. After medical school,
Mirusia completed a one year internship in
Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of
Pennsylvania followed by an Internal Medicine
residency and chief residency at Brown University.
During their time at Brown, Mirusia and her husband
spent 6 months volunteering in Kenya where they
served as physicians at a government hospital and
taught at the medical school. This exposure to
numerous cases of untreated valvular heart disease
led to Mirusia’s decision to pursue specialized
training in Cardiology.
Prior to starting her Cardiology training, Mirusia
had the first of her two children and moved back to
the area to be closer to family. During this time
she worked for one year as an Emergency room
physician at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia. She
then completed her Cardiovascular Disease training
at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia
where she served as chief fellow in her final year.
Mirusia enjoys the therapeutic relationships that
develop with her patients through the prevention and
treatment of cardiovascular disease. She has a
special interest in non-invasive Cardiology
including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and
cardiac CT.
When she is not at work, Mirusia enjoys spending
time with family and friends. She enjoys the
outdoors, gardening, swimming, and travel. Mirusia
lives in Ambler, PA with her husband and two sons.
