Sam
Coleman, M.D.
Sam grew up in the metropolitan area of Washington,
DC. He gained a B.A. in Psychology, with
distinction, from Boston College. During that time,
he spent six months in Los Angeles working at a free
medical clinic and serving the city's Latino

interest in becoming a physician. After completing a
one year Master's program in Physiology at
Georgetown University, Sam earned his M.D. at George
Washington University School of Medicine before
heading to the University of Pittsburgh Medical
Center for his Internal Medicine Residency. This was
followed by one year as a Hospitalist at Grand View
Hospital in Sellersville, PA, while his wife Shanthi
began her training in Psychiatry at the University
of Pennsylvania. Sam and his wife then returned to
complete their respective training in Cardiology and
Psychiatry in Pittsburgh before returning to this
area.
Sam's interests range from the non-invasive
diagnosis and treatment of Cardiovascular disease in
an outpatient setting to critical care of complex
Cardiovascular disease at the bedside. Outside of
work, Sam enjoys reading, exercising, music, and
spending time with family and friends. Sam lives in
Doylestown, PA with his wife and two daughters.
